You may be wondering why the image above is backward.
We know many of you enjoy it when we go behind the scenes to show how the postcards are made.
For today's example, we're going to look at the P-38 Lightning postcard that was released with last week's World War II-era airplane postcard set.
STEP 1: Locate an image that is either public domain or available through Creative Commons licensing.
STEP 2: Add a background so the airplane is flying over the European countryside.
STEP 3: Cue the dramatic clouds.
STEP 4: Combine all 3 images together and apply the photo-painting art effect.
That's all there is to it. Well, okay, I made it look easy. Truth be told, this set was harder to create than most. But I'm sure you'll agree that the extra effort was worthwhile.
