World Postcard Day 2025 Postmark

World Postcard Day 2025 Postmark

Christopher Arndt |

We just heard from the same duo who created the Postcrossing anniversary pictorial postmark — and they’ve done it again.

The USPS has officially approved their brand‑new pictorial postmark for World Postcard Day 2025!

This special mark (shown above), commissioned by Trevor B. and designed by artist Oce, is the perfect way to make your postcards a special keepsake.

Did you notice how the postmark ties into this year’s theme, Wish You Were Here? It also resembles a wax‑sealed ribbon — a nod to how important messages were once sealed and sent to loved ones.

With this postmark, you can now add a unique and memorable touch to every postcard you send. How exciting!

Here's how to have your World Postcard Day postcards stamped with this special postmark:

1. Decide what you want:

- Want your postcard(s) mailed to someone? Simply address, stamp, and write your message as usual.
- Want your postcard(s) returned to you? Stamp each postcard and include a return envelope with the correct postage.

2. Send your postcard(s) to:

World Postcard Day Station
PO Box 2887
College Station, TX 77841

- Postmarking starts October 1st.
- The special postmark is available through November 1st.

FYI for Postcrossers: Even if you send your postcards to be postmarked, you can still earn the special World Postcard Day badge. To qualify, you just need to draw the address on October 1st in your local timezone. Your postcard will count towards the badge as long as it gets registered by the recipient by September 30, 2026.
