The cavernous Main Concourse in Midtown Manhattan is filled with bustling rail commuters. Covering 48 acres, the station includes 44 underground train platforms—more than any other railroad station in the world. This National Historic Landmark features an elaborately decorated astronomical ceiling, which rises high above a four-faced brass clock on top of the information booth.
