As we look ahead to 2025, did you know that the USPS is celebrating its semiquincentennial anniversary this year?
(In case you don't know, "semiquincentennial" refers to the 250th anniversary, derived from the Latin "semi" meaning half and "quincentennial" meaning 500.)
In addition to the events planned by the USPS (which we’ll highlight throughout the year), we’re creating a special commemorative postcard set to celebrate this historic milestone.
While the designs remains a secret, we’ll be releasing a special postcard each month throughout the year for a total of 12.
Each postcard will commemorate a different historic milestone in the history of the Post Office, along with other fun facts and trivia.
But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there!
While each postcard features a unique design, when you collect all 12 and arrange them in the grid shown above, they will form a cohesive completed image.
Stay tuned! The first postcard will be released in the next week or two!
