(UPDATE: We’ve relocated from Illinois to Kentucky. During our move, we continued using NAMI for our printing needs, who kindly shipped our postcards to us. However, we've now transitioned to a local printer that supports small businesses in our community. We are grateful for NAMI's services and the quality work they provided us.)

Today we bring you an extra-special newsletter. We're going behind-the-scenes to visit the amazing people who print our postcards!
As a small home-based business, we believe it’s important to support our local community.
If you've ever read our About our Printer page, you know our postcards are "printed with love".
We proudly print all our postcards through the Rise & Shine Print Shop at NAMI of DuPage County, IL—whose mission is to provide support, advocacy, and education to individuals with mental illnesses.
If you are unfamiliar, NAMI stands for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
They are the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
The Rise & Shine Print Shop is part of NAMI's Job Readiness Program—a program which helps improve the quality of life for the individuals who participate.
The participants receive on-the-job training in the skills they will use in meaningful mainstream employment.
While we pay more to print our postcards, we believe in the importance of this program—and every postcard you purchase directly contributes to the participants future success!
But here's the thing: printing through NAMI DuPage worked great when we lived down the road. Not so great now that we've moved 400 miles away!
(If you're new to our newsletter, we recently sold our house in Illinois. For the rest of you: we found a home! Closing is the end of October. We'll provide an update in a future newsletter.)
Since we believe it's important to continue supporting NAMI's program, we will continue printing our postcards through the Rise & Shine Print Shop.
As you can imagine, shipping a box of 1,500+ postcards every week is both heavy—and expensive.
As a result, we are announcing that on January 1, 2024 the price of our 4x6 postcards will be $1.25 to help offset this extra shipping expense.
Please know this decision was not made lightly and received much consideration. Thank you for your support and understanding.
