The past two weeks have seen a spike in customers asking, "Do you know where my postcards are?"
In reviewing our shipping tracking analytics, we are seeing a 2 to 3 week delay in orders being delivered. Yes, weeks!
I did a quick Google News search for "USPS delays", and many articles are discussing the delays around the country (some recent and others ongoing).
Here's a sampling:
- Major mail delivery delays raise concerns about voting in the 2024 elections
- USPS delays causing issues for customers
- Postal Regulatory Commission member on breakdowns in Atlanta, elsewhere
On and on it goes. All that to say, your postcards are coming—just much, much later than we're used to. Thank you for your patience.
Since we're on the subject of bad news, postage rates are going up on July 14, 2024:
- Letters (1 oz) going from 68¢ to 73¢
- Postcards (domestic) going from 53¢ to 56¢
- Postcards (international) going from $1.55 to $1.65
Since Forever stamps hold their value "forever", you may want to stock up before the price increases.
But it's not all doom-n-gloom.
I have some good news: our postcard prices and shipping rates are not going up at this time.
We want you to continue with a hobby you love.
(However, things are getting tight and I'm not sure how much longer we can hold our current prices.)
