Did you know? The Lunar New Year is the most important holiday of the year for many Asian communities around the world—primarily celebrated by people of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tibetan, Mongolian, Malaysian, and Filipino heritage.
Known as "Tet" in Vietnam and the "Spring Festival" in China and elsewhere, the Lunar New Year begins on the second new moon after the winter solstice and historically marks the arrival of spring.
2023 is the Year of the Rabbit and begins on January 22, 2023.
To commemorate this festive event, the U.S. Postal Service is issuing the fourth of 12 stamps in their Lunar New Year stamp series.
The Year of the Rabbit Forever Stamp is currently available for pre-order from the USPS Store and will be available on January 12, 2023.
If you like combining your postage with your postcard, what a cool opportunity!
