Did you know? The Lunar New Year is the most important holiday of the year for many Asian communities around the world—primarily celebrated by people of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tibetan, Mongolian, Malaysian, and Filipino heritage.
Known as "Tet" in Vietnam and the "Spring Festival" in China and elsewhere, the Lunar New Year begins on the second new moon after the winter solstice and historically marks the arrival of spring.
2022 is the Year of the Tiger and begins on February 1, 2022.
To commemorate this event, the U.S. Postal Service is issuing their third of 12 stamps in their Lunar New Year stamp series.
The Year of the Tiger Forever Stamp is available for pre-order from the USPS Store and will be released on January 20, 2022.
Pretty cool if you like combining your postcard with a matching stamp.
